Description Tech festival that aims to inspire the teaching of code to the girls at Streatham & Clapham High School and to commemorate Ada Lovelace's birthday.
The focus is celebrating women in Technology and we will be bringing young female mentors from local partners to show 14 year old female students the power of code and introduce them to Webmaker. We will run 2 1 hour workshops using Thimble and remixing resources from the Maker Party website.
We hope to also bring members of the National Citizen Service (from the UK) and EPIK who attended a Webmaker Train The Trainer session, so that they can help run the workshops, act as female figures in tech, and uplevel their own mentoring skills in the process.
