Description The Future of the Web Platform: Mozilla Hungary and the Hungarian Firefox OS Engagement team teams up with CarnationGroup (POSSIBLE Budapest) and the Hungarian Frontend Meetup to present the latest and greatest in hardware (Firefox OS tablets, new phones & developer device) and software (Firefox OS 2.0/Haida/NFC, Open Web API-s, ES6 features) innovations to the cream crop of the Hungarian front-end scene.

Three presentations planned:

About Firefox OS and the coming features and highlights of the new 2.0 version (Haida UX, Rocketbar, revised visuals, new device API-s, NFC support, extended ECMAScript 6 feature support). Demo of the upcoming tablet version of the OS.
About ECMAScript 6 (what is it, contributors, TC39, draft specs, features). How to use it (Firefox, Firefox OS, Chrome, node.js support & the Traceur Compiler). About the Firefox OS ES6 AppSkeleton project.
Guest presentation: Open Web API-s/Web Platform engagement presentation (ES6, Web Components, Service Workers - future of the web platform).

Event will be a collaboration between the Budapest Frontend Meetup group, CarnationGroup (POSSIBLE Budapest) and the Hungarian Mozilla community/the Hungarian Firefox OS Engagement team.

Hosted by and at the CarnationGroup headquarters, tending for the participants, supplying the technical background and the followup press (including an internal release for other POSSIBLE offices around the world.

After the event, participants can ask questions, try some of the Firefox OS devices presented, and, if interested, are encouraged to join the Mozilla Weekend following on the following saturday to join an app hack workshop and listen to more presentations.
