Description COSCUP is the largest annual FLOSS conference organized by local communities in Taiwan. The conference has sessions for new users, enthusiastic promoters, coders or anyone who is interested in cutting-edge FLOSS technologies. The goal is to create a friendly and informative environment for people from different communities to make friends, learn new technologies and inspire each other.
Community booth
Because of Mozilla's many difference aspect, we're planning to run a "project based demonstration" on the booth. Some local contributors will demonstrating the L10n on Mozilla project, some will showing our works on fighting for digital human right, some are going to spreading Webmaker stuff, all in the same time, by person to person. (not only on 'the booth', but on the aisle all around the booth area.)
The BoF and/or other side events
We're still under planning but it's very likely that we'll have a meetup around the conference for 50-100 people (either on BoF time or another independent meeting).
To learn and help future growing community in different regions in China
Our community in Taiwan is considering the most active Mozilla community in Great Chinese region nowadays, but Taiwan is small and we always cannot ignore of the huge growing possibilities for a growing and strong community in big China, and it seems a good chance to try ignite it as the developing of openness on political and economic in China had reach a good process.
We also invite David Ascher to give a talk at COSCUP.
