Summer Camp

This event is a 4-week summer camp, hosted by High-tech Development Zone Government ，Xinjiang Youth League ，Xinjiang Normal University and cooperation with above Xinjiang Normal University student volunteers and other various communities in Urumqi. from July 4, 2016 and we had been invited to provide 10 classes around Firefox and programming. ，，

Content plan The main theme of the curriculum will be "How to use Firefox learn a foreign language" and the content will including basic computer and internet knowledge (eg., HTML) as well as programming (scratch). Detailed plan: Curriculum of Firefox tour in Summer Camp

How these two event benefit Mozilla and community

First, the event will increase the visibility of Xinjiang Firefox Community and help us better connecting local community, schools and education department.

Secondly, we will recruiting and train 10-15 students from Xinjiang Normal University to become mentors. They will finally become our seeds in many primary schools in future and we hope at lease 1/3 of them to become Firefox Student Ambassador.

Those students who joined summer camp will learn many knowledge which they cannot easily learned from school, including computer hardware, software, copyright, net security, privacy and how to programming by scratch.

We think the event will attracting local government departments (we had already in contact with them) and help us carry out more campus events in future.
