Value Creator

  • As a Reps Peer I want to participate at the Reps Leadership Meeting in Paris (March 2015) in order to offer facilitation for parts of the event
    • Outcome: Goal achieved (100%). Participated successfully in Paris and received positive feedback about my contribution.
  • As a Reps Peer I want to offer management and strategy advice or training to the ReMo Council in order to support the transformation to ReMo 2.0
    • Outcome: Goal partially achieved (40%). Supported Peers and Council in the activities leading up to the RepsNext proposal (NOV/DEC 2015).

People Developer

  • As a Reps Mentor I want to keep close contact with Michael Kohler and his Mozilla activities in order to provide advice, suggestions and understand what's going on in his world
    • Outcome: Goal partially achieved (60%). Kept close contact and had great personal conversations at MozFest. Provided feedback on Michael's "objectives document" and had a few Telegrams/phone calls. Bottom line: I would have loved to be in closer touch. It was mainly due to my lack of time that we did not talk as often as I had planned.
  • As a Reps Mentor I want to check in at least once with every Mentee during H1 in order to show appreciation, inspire action and keep in touch
    • Outcome: Goal not achieved (5%). Only kept in touch with Michael, Flore and very occasionally with Hagen.

Business Operator

  • As a Reps Mentor I want to help move non-active German-speaking Reps to "Alumni status" in order to ensure that the ReMo portal matches reality
    • Outcome: Goal not achieved (0%), due to lack of time and commitment.
  • As a Rep I want to participate or organize an event in Munich in order to show the Munich tech scene that Mozilla is alive and kicking
    • Outcome: Goal not achieved (0%). Still hoping to get something going before 2015 ends (MozMUC Christmas Event?).

Methodology

The first contribution area is “value creator,” which means the person must demonstrate the ability to generate and operationalize ideas that create value for our organization. The second contribution area is “people developer,” meaning that future leaders have the ability to create a lasting legacy. The third and final contribution area is “business operator.” Effective leaders must be able to run a meaningful business that generates impact.
