Abstract of the talk:
FirefoxOS is a truly open source operating system for mobile phones, tablets and smart TVs based on web technologies. In this talk I will explain why is FirefoxOS needed, its architecture, what problems we avoided using web technologies, what challenges we had to solve, how we solved them and what can we expect from FirefoxOS in the near future.
