Description After an amazing Mini-Camp at Punjab and an initiative taken to Grow Mozilla community Punjab, here is another amazing event organized while keeping in mind the initiative; Grow Mozilla Punjab and strive for a great community in Punjab. The main motive of this event is to innaugrate the new Firefox Club at DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology with a Bang!, teach the students about Open Web and Mozilla, spread the word in Jalandhar.

Blueprint:- This amazing event, will be a 2 day event.
Day1:- Encourage the Enthusiasts This will be an introductory day 1, where we will tell everyone about the open web, Mozilla's role, What Mozilla is, How to get involved with Mozilla and all other great things like: Webmaker, FSA program, SUMO, Reps, What is it like to be a Mozillian.
The main motive of this introductory small event is to guide, teach and encourage all the amazing enthusiasts, so that they turn up with great zeal and know, what cool things are happening around.
Key sessions include:
-Introduction to Open Web & FOSS
-What is Mozilla?
-Role of Mozilla
-Tools and Services by Mozilla
-Getting Involved with Mozilla (FSA, SUMO, Webmaker, Firefox OS, Events etc.)
-Firefox OS
-Webmaker
*Ending with a QA session.
Day2:- Maker Party

On 30th Jan 2015, DAVIET would witness its 1st Maker Party but not the last. We will divide the Maker Party into two phases.
Phase 1: Venue:- Red cross school for deaf, Kabir nagar,Jalandhar, Punjab- 144008
Time:- 8am to 10am
Blueprint:- Nothing can beat: Helping 'Special children' who are gifted in a certain way but still aren't able to enjoy the phases of life due to some physical deficiency. Our maker party will start from a school for these children.
Our club members who will be attending our fest will spend some time with these children and with the help of teachers, teach the children about :
*A computer and it's working.
*Internet & Browsers
*What is open web?
*Fun-learning creative activities
At the end, we will distribute swags to the children with some fun competitions and 'Foxy' dance.
Phase 2: Venue:- Auditorium, DAV institute of engineering and technology, Kabir nagar,Jalandhar, Punjab- 144008
Time:- 12pm to 4pm
Blueprint:- Starting with an introductory talk by the principal of the respective college.
We would be installing various informative booths mugged up as under:

P.S. We may include or exclude some booths depending on the situation & availability. But we promise these 3 things:
1) Quality
2) Productivity
3) Awesomeness & a great outcome.
Apart from these amazing booths, our maker party will also include various cultural events and competitions on the stage at regular intervals.
We are estimating a total participation of about 500-600 students from our college and some nearby colleges as well.
*The number is quite likely to be increased.
*The core-organizing team is of about 20 students.
