Unfortunately we had to cancel the 2 days conference due protests happening outside the university, those talks were reprogrammed for February 2015, but we managed to have our small workshop with fewer students since due the cancellation of the talks many were confused about if the workshop was going to happen or not.

Objectives:

  • Two days long event.
  • First day Rep Arturo Martinez will give a talk about developer tools in Mozilla Firefox.
  • New tools avaliable in Firefox.
  • Showcase Firefox Developer Edition
  • New technologies avaliable in Firefox (WebGL, HTML5+, CSS3+)
  • Resources in MDN.
  • Second day Rep Arturo Martinez will host a workshop on development tools.
  • Develop web apps easily using Mozilla resources.
  • Webmaker for the non-coding savy.
  • Both days a booth will be held to interact with the participants.
  • FSA in UNET will join us to recruit new students!

First Day

  • Talk Title: Tools and Resources for Developers in Mozilla Firefox
  • Description: Developers are essential to the success of the Web. The content and applications they create make us return to the web every day either from a computer or mobile phone; In this presentation the wealth of tools and resources that Mozilla offers developers which allows them to coordinate and streamline your workflow during development is demonstrated.
  • 60 minutes
  • Holding a Mozilla booth during the rest of the day.

Second Day

  • Workshop on Tools and Resources for Developers in Mozilla Firefox
  • 120 minutes
