Special Projects

Things I'm working on include:

Ascend Project which is a 6 week classroom-style course designed to accelerate the engagement and skill building for marginalized populations within Open Source helping them make their first technical contributions
Diversity and Inclusion workshop

I love to teach and to help people build skills for problem solving. My passion is for helping remove barriers to participation in Open Source so that we have more voices and more leaders who represent the whole of our society.

I'm a Mozilla Reps mentor for primarily North American Reps (though I'm happy to work with anyone, anywhere!).

Office Hours: Mondays are best - any time from 9am-5pm Pacific time (UTC -8), but I'm on IRC every weekday and have a persistent client so I usually see scrollback pings too. If IRC doesn't work I respond to email quickly.
