Description of activity

I met Mozilla's Michelle Thorne. Michelle has been a great friend since we met during 2013 Bengaluru Maker Party where I interviewed her to learn about her take on Openness and copyright (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOa3Z4KcQ7o). During our recent encounter in Bengaluru she shared about the ongoing work related to the "Internet of Things" at the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad in India. She shared how Mozilla is working with student communities and academia to research more on the IoT which will eventually shape into something substantial to share widely. Mozilla's prodducts and the community has been nurturing the idea of IoT in many levels and more specifically in workshops like this (https://wiki.mozilla.org/WebOfThings/WorkshopSep2015). I am personally excited to hear more about the ongoing work on this. This meeting happened on January 29 and was authored on February 9 but was not made public. It went live on March 12.
