This time, we are planning to take things a bit differently than what we have been doing for all these years. For the first day, instead of one to one talks, we are planning to have project tables (kind of booths) for as many Mozilla projects as we can. There will be project experts in each booth. Participants are expected to go around the room(s) and choose the project they want to hear about or learn about. The respective booth owners will be responsible to guide the participants and keep them engaged. On the second day, we will be having workshops and sessions for the entire day. Along with these booths and sessions, we are also going to have a 48 hour long hackathon. There will be a long list of bugs from which developers can pick a bug to hack. Each hack will give them some credit points. At the end of each day of GNUnify, a candidate can exchange his earned credit points against some cool Mozilla goodie.

Topics we are planning to cover this GNUnify:

  • Webmaker

  • Reps program and FSA

  • Mozilla Developer Network

  • Firefox OS

  • Firefox Privacy and Scecurity (Lightbeam)

  • Localization

  • RUST
