Selim is the executive editor of PCnet, Turkey's leading computer and internet magazine. He has written hundreds of articles mainly on software and internet related topics, and has been managing the magazine's website for more than 10 years. He has also contributed to LINUXnet, Computer Active Türkiye, and OYUNCU magazines.

He also works as a freelance translator, proofreader, writer, and webmaster.

He has contributed to many giant projects' translations/localizations, including Google, Firefox, Facebook, vBulletin, PHP-Nuke, Netvibes, and many more. He's also a meta editor at DMOZ, the largest human-edited directory of the web.

He's a board member of Mensa Turkey, the country's only high IQ society.

Selim is also a member of Turkish Language Association's "Discussion Group for Translations of Foreign Words" as an IT expert and a journalist.
