Cultura is an annual cultural and tech fest of CMR Institute of Technology with a footfall of over 2000 people. Software Freedom and Linux Days is one of biggest events in Turkey with more than 1000 attendance. There are seminars (45 minutes each), workshops (few hours) and lots of speeches (5-10 min) on coding and GNU philosophy or success histories in this field.

Last december it became clear that Mozilla will shift its focus to Connected Devices. In the first two months of 2016 it became clear as well, that Mozilla will sunset Firefox OS after the version 2.6 release in May. Even though the smartphone might still be relevant in the IoT, we will focus on how we can use the power of the Web for IoT. In this talk Michael will show a few demos (might still be alpha by then) and show you the new, exiting path for the future.

Esteli is a Nicaraguan town located 147 km from the capital Managua and 110 km from the border of El Espino, and also is the closest town to Honduras border point. Mozilla Tech Speakers aims to increase developer awareness and adoption of the Web, Firefox, and Mozilla through a strong community-driven speaker development program. Now we are bringing Tech Speaker lessons, mentors and Mozillians to the local community, offering great insight and experiences to newcomers and late arrivals.
